What Painful Sex Feels Like | Body Language

In this series of visual essays, women talk about their most personal reproductive health issues and problems. Here, one woman talks about painful sex, something that affects 1 in 10 women. She is eventually diagnosed with severe endometriosis – but not before she spends years having her pain dismissed and misdiagnosed by doctors.

The Positive Brain Benefits of Playing Chess | Mike Mehin | TEDxSanDieguitoAcademy

Did you know that playing chess has amazing benefits on the brain? The brain is a muscle and chess is an incredible tool for exercising it. Hello, my name is Mike Mehin, and I am currently the Chess Club President of my School San Dieguito Academy. When I was a child, my father introduced me to chess, and I’ve been playing the game ever since. Chess is one of the most famous board games throughout history that has been ever used for military strategy. What makes a board game like chess a good military strategy game? What benefits could it have on the brain and why? Chess is a unique game that requires the use of both sides of the brain to play. In this video, we will explore more of that as I talk about my experience playing chess and the reasons for the benefits it has on the brain. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
